Buen Camino!
Santiago! Santiago! I’ve reached the end of the long road to Santiago.
I began my Camino with my puppaboy William in the Portuguese border town of Caminha on the 1st May 2021.
I crossed over the border into Spain and walked along the stunning coastline of the Portuguese Coastal route visiting the towns of Oia, Baiona and Vigo before joining the traditional countryside route of the Portuguese Camino at Pontevedra.
From there, I walked through magical woodlands and meadows blooming with wildflowers under the glorious Spanish sun, as I passed through the towns of Caldas de Reis and Padron.
I reached the promised land, the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela with tears in my eyes. What a journey, especially as William accompanied me every step along the way. I’m so proud of my pilgrim boy.
Buen Camino, peregrinos It’s great to be back in Santiago!
