I love to roam—to wander at will.
The open road is my friend, and the call to hit the road is one that I cannot easily ignore. I have a bad case of wanderlust.
A gentle ache for all the places I have yet to explore. A desire for the intense connections I’ll make on the road. The scent of adventure on the wind.
You see, I was born wild. I will die free. In between, I wander.
I left behind my legal career and homeland of England in 2011 to begin again in Andalucía, Spain, where I embraced a different way of living and a life of wandering.
My wanderings led me to the Camino de Santiago, a network of hiking trails that run throughout Europe, yet they are so much more than that. To walk a Camino de Santiago is to undertake a spiritual adventure and a journey of a lifetime. It is an opportunity to meet so many people from around the world.
I walked the Camino Frances in 2016 and Camino Portuguese Coastal in 2018. The Camino experience showed me a different way of living. So much so that upon arriving in Santiago de Compostela in 2018, I changed my life to follow my dream of becoming a Camino de Santiago guide.
I moved to the Portuguese Camino city of Porto in 2018 and then onto the Portuguese Camino de Santiago in 2020 as a Camino guide. I walked the Portuguese Central route, Portuguese Coastal route and Camino Frances from Leon to Sarria in Spring and Summer of 2021.
In 2023, I walked the Camino Frances and Camino Ingles.
In 2024, I walked the Camino Mozarabe de Santiago in Southern Spain.
For 2025, I’ll be walking the Via de la Plata Camino from Seville to Santiago de Compostela.
I now live between the UK and Spain and help pilgrims to plan their self-guided Caminos de Santigo. You can contact me via email at info@wildcamino.com for further information. Feel free to check out my Testimonials from previous pilgrims.
The Camino de Santiago is the perfect place to satisfy my thirst for wandering and adventure while embracing a heart-centred way of living. A way of being that the Camino de Santiago teaches to all who walk the sacred paths. I share the life lessons learnt, Camino stories, and practical advice for pilgrims walking the Camino de Santiago in my guidebook, A Wild Woman’s Guide To The Camino De Santiago and my Wild Camino blog.
So, if you hear the call to wander, or catch the scent of adventure on the breeze, is it time for you to pack your bag and wander? To expand your mind and see how big your world really is?
Go see for yourself just how blessed you are, to be able to experience being so wild and free.
